Structured parking winter operations
Parking garage snow and ice management.
Garage winter work centers on ramps, exposed decks, drains, pedestrian connections, vehicle obstructions, and recurring refreeze rather than conventional lot plowing.
Request Garage PricingRamps and drainage are the critical system.
Entrance and exit ramps combine grade, curves, gates or ticket equipment, tracked moisture, and temperature changes. They should have a defined mechanical-clearing and treatment plan, including any coating or material restrictions. Exposed roof decks may drift or refill during continued snowfall and often need a different service sequence from protected levels.
Drain locations should be mapped before winter. Snow pushed toward a drain can become an ice source if the drain is blocked or meltwater reaches a colder lower level. Recurring trouble spots deserve inspection standards rather than repeated surprise treatments.
Occupied stalls require phased cleanup
A garage rarely empties completely. Define which travel lanes and ramps must remain open continuously, how accessible routes are handled, and whether return cleanup is included when vehicles move. Pedestrian connections to elevators, stairs and vestibules should be treated as a separate scope.
Our refreeze guide and parking-recovery guide cover two common late-season constraints.
